It was last weekend on the famous wave of Lafiténia located below the Ostalamer restaurant between St Jean De Luz and Guéthary. This spot known by all is certainly the longest wave in the Basque country.
The competition opposed all mixed generations, your coach Thomas La Fonta, multiple winner of this stage, made the trip to measure himself against the new generation. Despite three good series, he finished 4th in this edition, leaving the well-deserved victory to the young Kepa Housset, also from Bidart. We are happy to say it and to see that the student has exceeded the master :)
This competition gave the chance to more than 80 surfers to surf this mythical wave at only 4 in the water during series of 20 min. We will both be back to try and reclaim the title and bring home the cup next year.
